Gray Morning

Sunrise and my plant that almost didn't survive the move.

Missing a certain furry friend lately.

Happy things worth noting:

- waking up refreshed and early
- finally getting over a long 3 week cold
- choosing to cook meals over grabbing fast food
- country music on the way to work
- making and sticking to a budget
- the fact that the sun is staying up longer
- chatting with my best friend about her wedding later this year
- starting my second book of the year (Catching Fire)
- idea's for Valentine's Day
- spending time with my favorite guy
- a forecast for clear skies this weekend

Have a wonderful Friday and first day of February!

A Good Start

Snapshots above: 1-2//Spending time with family and macie in California for Thanksgiving. 3//Fall colors in my neighborhood. 4//Learning to bake an apple pie. 5//Excited to find snow as I was leaving for work. 6//Getting dressed up to attend a wedding party with my new boyfriend. Yay! 7//Decorating my Christmas tree. 8//Walking through pike's place. 9-10//Going on the Seattle Great Wheel with my family.

It's a new year and I am back from my blogging hiatus. Between not getting very many hours of light to enjoy during the winter months and working full-time I've lost motivation to document my days. But I've recommitted myself to taking more photos and am coming back in full force. To end this first post of 2013 I'll list a few of my resolutions:

save money
learn to cook
show appreciation
work harder - go the extra mile
bring my camera out more often

I'm extremely excited to be posting and sharing things here again. This year is going to be one for the books.

Have a fantastic Tuesday!

October Leaves

Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled

Yesterday after work I went to a nearby park to enjoy (and photograph) the last bit of sunshine left before the rainy weekend. There were a few people fishing from the dock and a kayaker out on the lake. I tried making friends with some ducks and a squirrel but they lost interest once they realized I didn't have any food.

It definitely felt like Fall with a chill in the air and leaves on the ground. I'm obsessed with the changing of the trees' leaves and how bright and colorful they can become this time of year. I've always been fascinated by trees and think it would be neat to correctly identify any tree that I come across. Yes, I will add that to my to-do list: become a tree nerd!
