Wishing everyone an amazing and joyful holiday weekend!

Friday Night Lights

My town had its annual Christmas parade through downtown on Friday. My family and I haven't been in many years but this year we made sure to attend because my grandma was going to be on the senior citizens float. Her and her friend Gail had the best time waving to everyone as they passed by. She's such a go-getter and I hope to be as active as her when I reach senior citizen status. My mom, brother, and I reminisced of past Christmases and checked out the holiday window displays. I think it definitely got us feeling the spirit of the season. (one of my favorite holiday songs)

Favorite Corners

Her way of telling me she's ready to be played with.
Here's a little peek of my favorite spots in my room at the moment. I moved back in with my mom after finishing school so I don't have full decorating privileges around the house but I don't mind practicing/getting inspiration for when I am out on my own (hopefully early 2012). There's also a couple snapshots of what Macie has been up to lately for all of you who have been curious ;)

Golden Autumn Day

So I may have gone a little overboard while taking photos of the colorful trees in my neighborhood during my walk this afternoon. I just can't get over how much they liven up the streets and had to document them for when I'm feeling not so inspired during the gloomy winter to come. I was in such a better mood after returning from my walk and plan to do it more often.

Fall At Your Feet

Saturday afternoon was our designated pumpkin picking day and we were pleasantly surprised at how many other fun activities were going on at the farm . We completed a good portion of the corn maze, braved the haunted house, chose our pumpkins, and bought some fall treats at the country store. There was also a zip line, obstacle course of sorts, pony rides, and two trains. We had a great time despite the heat and the very large crowd of people in attendance. The farm goes all out for Christmas too so we will definitely be making another visit come December!

High Noon

Someone is not amused that I found their hiding spot.
It was a pleasant fall afternoon for a walk through Columbia last Saturday. We weren't in any sort of rush so we leisurely walked up and down the little streets taking in all of the historical goodness. We went up to one of the set-up houses and I loved the wallpaper and some of the items inside (2nd picture), which surprised me since the 1850s isn't really one of my favorite decades of style. It's funny how inspiration can come in all different forms and when you least expect it.
